    Agreed.

I STILL don't know what to write my POCO essay about. I need to google around and see if any themes or motifs or... something pop out at me.

    I don't know.

I spent most of today feeling miserable so I opted for vidja games. Will probably spend tomorrow feeling pretty miserable too, unless I have the best healing sleep in the world tonight.

My body succumbs to illness at the most inconvenient times.

That's one thing I will always like better about Science. Little to no essay writing. And when one is expected of us, which won't be many, I can't help but feel like they wouldn't expect much out of it.

I would hate to be sick at this time. FEEL BETTER!!

I spent a few hours going through Brick Lane and copying quotes that have anything at all to do with fate/destiny. I don't know what to write about, but at least I have ideas... If you think you might do something remotely like that, I can send them to you.

I wanna do something with this quote:

“Newspapers shall praise him, two mothers shall raise him! Bicyclists love him, but crowds will shove him! Washing will hide him- voices will guide him! Friends mutilate him- blood will betray him! Spittoons will brain him- doctors will drain him- jungle will claim him – wizards reclaim him! Soldiers will try him- tyrants will fry him. He will have sons without having sons. He will be old before he is old... And he will die... before he is dead.”

I was thinking dichotomy or something, but I can't find any articles on dichotomy in Midnight's Children. Which is kind of strange? Granted I haven't looked very hard yet, but still.

    [9:56am]

Y'know, I might just ditch Midnight's Children... For all the articles on it that she was ranting and raving about, I sure can't find anything useful and it's getting frustrating. I'm not deep or intellectual enough to think of anything I can write about for 12 pages. I might have to turn to Brick Lane or something. Though what I'll write about with that book, who knows.

I HATE it when professors don't just give you a topic to write on.

    This is so stupid.

You'd think that finding articles about fate would be easy... but it really isn't.

    Fate + Brick Lane/Islam/Bangladesh

Nothing on Jstore. Unless I'm stupid. I don't know if websites on Google are scholarly enough.

I looked for fate-related things on Jstor briefly and couldn't find much.

Actually, I can't find many usable things pertaining to any of these books and it's kind of getting really frustrating. I still don't know what to write about but it almost seems like fate is the only thing. I thought about doing Small Island but I can't remember enough of the book and I don't know that there's anything I can pick out to write 12 pages on? I don't know.

That doesn't sound hopeful for our fate essays. Sad How are they going?

I haven't done anything for mine yet, still. I still felt like crap today and couldn't concentrate. I'm going to force myself to push it out tomorrow and if I still feel like crap on Wednesday and/or I need more time for my essay, I'll just stay home and work on it. The way things are going, I'm starting to think I won't be well enough for school on Wednesday.

    Bleeeh.

So do I. If I don't go, I'm going to get Cam to hand my stuff in for me. Or, if worst comes to worst, I'll scan my homework and email it to her.

:/ I hope everyone's spirits pick up. If it's any consolation, my week is not looking so good.
I get braces on Wednesday, the same day that I have a midterm. I've got homework for 303, my hardest course, due Thursday and I haven't even looked at it. I have a dentist appointment Friday, and I have a lab due Sunday.

You also have Sarika's birthday dinner Thursday night. Which is a day after braces, which tells me that you're not going to enjoy eating much that day.

Oh gosh, that's right... braces. I dunno. At this point I would rather get braces, retainers, my jaw broken and wired, my wisdom teeth regrown again and removed...

But I know that's just silly.

Sooo... good luck with them braces. They'll make your teeth as handsome as your face.

As for schoolwork... aslkfdhaskdhskhd again. I HAVE A TITLE!!

I have Word open and a working, not final title. And I've shoved my dishes aside and added more Kleenex balls to the Kleenex pile!

Oh yeah, Sarika, btw - Book Antiqua is a good font to use on essays. It looks similar to Times New Roman but is in fact much bigger than it looks. My Women's Lit prof wanted us to use it instead of Times New Roman 'cause they are working toward standardizing the font. So if you need a length boost... THAR SHE BE.

Also... I should cite a dictionary in my works cited, right...?
